Written by local businessman, Dan Sinas of PRcompanies,
Job Killers provides a provocative analysis of how government presence in the workplace has caused diminishing profits for American businesses and has led to the increased levels of unemployment. The president of PRcompanies, Ben Harrison, explains how the book came about,
“We challenged our leadership team to come up with solutions to help solve the unemployment crisis of 2009 & 2010. Dan had the best idea and was prodded to consider writing a book about it. The intent was to try and introduce his idea into the national debate about how to solve the unemployment crisis. Hopefully, this might get the attention of mass media and eventually our country’s leaders. I truly feel the idea needs to be given its due consideration. It certainly appears that the so-called solutions put forth by politicians have been dismally ineffective in creating jobs, but Dan’s idea is something that I feel will actually bring about job stimulation and will be effective in reducing the unemployment rate. Dan presented his idea to an Unemployment Summit held in Tampa, FL back in September, and after hearing encouraging support for his approach, decided it was time to write the book. It did not take a whole lot of arm twisting. However, it will take much effort to get the book’s ideas into the hands of those who can actually implement the desperately needed reforms to our unemployment system. The business community will be a tremendous help in that effort. His book also explores how burdensome government regulations of the workplace have been further barriers to job creation, and he puts forth some compelling ideas about new reforms that can give much needed relief to the small businesses of our nation”.
