Ten Things You Should Know about Working with Personnel Resources
March 4, 2011
Personnel Resources is a staffing company. Each year we work with hundreds of employers to help fill positions in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Texas. Our Client Companies hire us to find the best possible people for the positions they need to fill. Some times we are asked to find temporaries for short term assignments and some times we are asked to find regular full time employees for our Clients. There is never a charge to our applicants for what we do but we don't guarantee employment. That said, each year we make over 3000 placements and we might be able to help you!
Here is a list of ten tips that should help to give you the best possible experience with our Company:
1. Sending us a resume will not get you in to our database. If possible, you should always fill out our application.
2. Since our Client Companies pay for our services, we have an obligation to provide them with a highly motivated, skilled and dependable workforce. If your work history is not good, we may not be able to place you.
3. All of our recruiters have access to all of our positions. Therefore, when you call, any one can help you.
4. We post our openings on Career Builder, Dothan Help Wanted, Monster and on our website (
www.prdothan.com). Check these websites out whenever possible.
5. Because of the large number of job seekers that contact us ( about 600 per week ) it is very important to make the most of your time with any of our staff. Please be as clear as possible about the types of jobs that interest you. Telling us that you will do "anything" slows down the process.
6. We run criminal background checks on everyone that fills out an application. If you have any type of conviction, it will restrict the number of client companies we can consider you for. Criminal convictions do not make placement at PR impossible but it does make it harder. All of our new hires will also have to take a pre employment drug test prior to job placement
7. If someone from our office leaves you a message, please listen to it and ask for the same person when you return the call. We have about 20 people in our building and it is very difficult for our front desk person to know who called you if you don't have a name.
8. When you complete your application, please list all information that would be helpful in helping us to determine suitability of placement.
9. If your contact information changes, please come in to our office and update it or you can call our office and leave the information with someone.
10. Please be patient with us. We try really hard to help as many people as possible while meeting the needs of our Client Companies.
I hope that you will find this helpful. Good luck in your job search!
