  • Updated Form I-9 & W-4 F.A.Q.

    Form I-9:

    U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) today published a revised version of Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification.  By Jan. 22, 2017, employers must use only the new version, dated 11/14/2016 N. Until then, they can continue to use the version dated 03/08/2013 N or the new version. 

    One of the updates to the form is as  follows: "The instructions must be available, either in paper or electronically, during completion of this form."  We will be updating our New Hire Packs to include the updated Form I-9, however, instructions will not be included in the packs.  This is because the new Form I-9 is has been increased from 9 to 18 pages.  We will make the instructions available on our website here and they can be emailed to you, upon request.

    We have also developed a sample Form I-9 that is color coded to aide in proper completion.  This sample form with instructions can be found here.  Please let us know if you have any questions or need help with the Form I-9.
